Clone Trooper (212th Phase 2) Build

"Clone troopers were highly trained soldiers in the Grand Army of the Republic, the armed forces of the Galactic Republic in its final years. Bred from the genetic template of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, clone troopers represented the latest evolution in galactic warfare at the time, largely due to their superiority over battle droids"

I grew up with the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, I know I know, but your childhood is your childhood and Episode III is still one of my favourites. I especially love the Clone Troopers and their role in the movie, and one of my favourite sequences, the Utapau battle, along with a liking for Obi Wan Kenobi led to building a trooper from his battalion, the 212th, noted for their distinctive orange striping.

There are plenty of resources with the 501st Legion for aspiring Clones or Stormtroopers and I recommend you check them out if you are considering a similar build.

Next came the armour itself. It was a lot of work to trim, glue, assemble and paint it all. Below is my overview and first full test fit of all the pieces together.

The painting and weathering of the armour is by far my favourite part. In the video below I show how I painted mine, along with some techniques I use to get chipping and realistic weathering.
